Who We Are
KB Andalusians LLC is located in the Umpqua Valley of Oregon and is owned and operated by Jodi and Thomas Klier-Butler. Jodi has a long history of riding and competing, having shown her dun Quarter horse on the NPBA circuit in the Pacific Northwest as a youth rider and then her Dutch/Hanoverian gelding through 3rd level dressage in Washington and California. As a young adult, Jodi spent over a year at The Knoll Farm on Long Island, New York working with many trainers solidifying her love for classical dressage.
In 2008, Jodi fell in love with the Pura Raza Espanola and purchased her first filly, Nydia H. She has since enjoyed riding Nydia H in Dressage, Working Equitation and out on the trails.
The Pura Raza Espanola (PRE) is also known in the United States as The Andalusian. This is a breed that is from the Iberian Peninsula and has been recognized as a breed since the 15th century. Historically, the Pura Raza Espanola was used as a war horse. They have always been sought after by Nobility and Kings across Europe rode and owned these horses.
KB Andalusians LLC is a boutique PRE (Pura Raza Espanola) breeder. Our breeding goals are to produce classic baroque conformation and beauty, with superb temperaments, functionality and versatility to go from the trail to the show ring with an Amateur or Professional. All our breeding horses have been revised and approved for breeding by ANCCE.
Because we believe in quality and not quantity, we will offer a select few foals for sale each year. We focus on finding the right fit that will be a lasting partnership. We seek to match each foal with a future that will last a lifetime whether it be to a serious show home or a family trail horse.
